Reminders/Homework:
Determine a theme or central idea of a text and how it is conveyed through particular details; provide a summary of the text distinct from personal opinions or judgments.
Question to think about as we continue this book:
How do each of the characters in Homeless Bird find happiness? Many characters work towards happiness in different ways. How are they similar or different? Can you relate to any of their ways of finding happiness?
The Plan:
You are expected to place at least two stickies for every chapter.
*happiness and well-being
The Plan:
- Read independently
- Read Homeless Bird
- Finish Homeless Bird
- Discuss thoughts on the book/exit ticket if there is time.
Reading Actively:
You are expected to place at least two stickies for every chapter.
Do not put a sticky on the page unless you label it:
*Home/Family
*Perseverance
*Dreams, Hopes, and Plans
*Gender
*happiness and well-being
*something else super important that you don't want to forget?
- If you do not have at least TWO sticky notes labeled in EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER of Homeless Bird, you should spend some time tonight doing that.
- No Achieve this week.
- Catch up on late work.
- READ AT HOME.
